The Body Positive is a non-profit organization that was established in 1996. They provide substantial training in the area of body image disorders and their mission is to free everyone- men, women, and youth- from negative societal images surrounding how they believe their bodies should look.

The purpose of the organization is to teach everyone how to love the body they are in and spend their energy on things that really matter in life.

M Power founder and director, Shannon Smith, has joined this training program in order to lend further expertise to the values held by her program. She wishes to teach young ladies that healthy comes in all shapes and sizes, we are all given unique abilities, and that should be consistently engaging in self-love and understanding. We should always focus on what amazing things our bodies are capable of doing, rather than how they compare to the unrealistic standards of appearance set out by society.

The training standards set out by The Body Positive Institute will ensure high quality and current program content and delivery when it comes to body image and other health related programs delivered by M Power.

Shannon looks forward to further developing her relationship with this incredible community of educators and subject matter experts.
