Special Event Workshop

Girls can participate in a stand alone workshop dedicated to one of our many important topics. These sessions encourage girls to generate productive peer discussion, promote problem solving skills and of course have fun.

The benefit to our A La Carte Program schedule is that parents and girls can pick and choose which topics they want to explore.

Inspire workshop with carleigh Stark

Date: June 29th, 3-5 pm

Location: M Power Headquarters- 47 Main Street South, Georgetown (Lower level of Young’s Pharmacy)

Cost: $55.00 includes instruction and all materials.

Ages: 6+

Join Carleigh Stark as she inspires us all through sayings of positivity and meaning painted on wooden canvases. These boards will serve as a daily reminder of empowerment and encouragement to be the best version of ourselves that we can be.

Love Yourself: Adult Edition

Date: Sunday June 9th 7-9pm

Age: Adults only

Cost: $20.00

Location: Crystal Tree Yoga, Carriage House- 75 Mill Street, Georgetown

Our parents have requested an adult only version of our Love Yourself Workshop and so we delivered! This modified program will allow adults to share in their experiences and relate to one another through some very meaningful discussions and group activities.

We will be learning to manage our stress through a variety of techniques. We will practice some meditation and make our very own mala bead bracelets.

Windchime workshop with Lisa Haller

Date: June 21st, 2019 5:30-7:30pm

Location: M Power Headquarters, 47 Main Street South (lower level of Young’s Pharmacy)

Cost: $25.00

Age: 6+

We will be re-purposing cutlery and other unique household items into wind chimes for our back garden. Adding beads and jewels will make our pieces come to life and add a stunning touch to any garden or porch. Girls can be proud of their handmade works of art.

Mothers are welcome to join their daughters for this event.

Please bring anything you wish to add to your wind chime to make it unique!

Beautiful You wORKSHOP

Date: June 2nd, 12:30-3pm

Age: 10+


Location: Creatively Beautiful Salon , 505A Guelph Street, Norval

This workshop is a huge hit with our tweens. Girls all explore the idea of wearing make up. We want our girls to be empowered with the knowledge when it comes to age appropriate make up application, proper skin care routines, and how to buy products that are great for young skin.

CB is leading the charge when it comes to showing young women how beautiful they are inside and helping them feel confident and gorgeous. CB is an award winning make up artist who has an inspiring story for our young ladies.

“I can build it” workshop

Date: Monday July 8th, 9-11:30am

Location: M Power Headquarters- 47 Main Street South (lower level of Young’s Pharmacy)

Cost: $25.00

Ages: 6+

We will teach our young girls to use basic tools and techniques to create some wonderful masterpieces they will be proud of! Projects will be announced closer to the date but they will be functional.

M Power Fall Healthy Food Workshop

Date: October 26 2019, 1-4:30 pm

Age: 5+

Cost: $45.00

Location: Real Canadian Superstore, 171 Guelph Street, Georgetown

Spend time with the M Power girls and a President’s Choice Cooking School Professional learning about how to make some healthy, delicious and simple recipes. The topic for this session will be food product comparison and how to make healthy choices when grocery shopping. We will be covering the tips and tools to help make grocery shopping easier and even fun!

M Power Summer Healthy Food wORKSHOP

Date: July 3rd, 5:30-8:30pm

Age: 5+

Cost: $35.00

Location: Real Canadian Superstore, 171 Guelph Street, Georgetown

This summer inspired workshop will find our M Power girls making cheeseburgers on a stick, watermelon salad, and homemade lemonade!

We will be learning all about fresh fruits and veggies, how to find the best produce, farmers markets, locally grown crops and sustainability. As always, our workshop will include fun team games throughout the store!

Join our local chef and pop up market expert in creating some wonderful homemade meals which are perfect for young ladies to make on their own! Healthy, hearty and easy are the key when it comes to these kitchen creations.

Our host will also be telling us all about her balancing her family, business and personal interests. This is one great workshop you will not want to miss.

Orangeville Stress Workshop

Date: June 9th, 1-4 pm

Location: Alder Recreation Centre- TD Canada Trust Room (2nd floor), Orangeville

Age: 6+

Cost: $20.00

This workshop is designed to assist girls to figure out what stresses them out, what stress can feel like, and how to cope with stress using healthy strategies. We will try out some meditation and discuss ways to help support each other during times of stress. This workshop is facilitated by Shannon Smith, safeTALK trainer, ASIST trained, and Road to Mental Readiness trainer.

Oakville Girls Empowerment Night

Date: July 14th, 5-7:30pm

Location: Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre, 2200 Sawgrass Drive, Oakville

Cost: $25.00

Age: 7+

This is going to be a great night dedicated to our Oakville girls. We will be engaging in a wide range of activities, crafts, and discussions to help us learn more about ourselves, how to stand up for what we believe in, and how to stay healthy.

Exploring our safe space through Expressive Arts Workshop with Virginia Jayhu

Date: Friday September 20th 5:30-8pm

Location: M Power Headquarters

Cost: $40.00 (before August 1st 2019) and $50.00 (after August 1st 2019)

Ages: 7+

Join therapist, artist, and facilitator Virginia as she shows girls the power of art as a way to manage stress and trauma. Those who love art can use it as a positive coping strategy during stressful times, but also as a way to regain strength and heal after experiencing life trauma.

Family Art Luncheon

Date: Saturday September 14th 11am- 1:30pm

Location: Glen Williams Town Hall, 1 Prince Street

Join us for this incredible day to spend quality time with our families over a nice meal and some creative time.

There will be a free range art studio, art instruction, and a meal catered by Kit’s Little Kitchen.
