Special Event Workshop
Girls can participate in a stand alone workshop dedicated to one of our many important topics. These sessions encourage girls to generate productive peer discussion, promote problem solving skills and of course have fun.
The benefit to our A La Carte Program schedule is that parents and girls can pick and choose which topics they want to explore.

Trendos Interiors and M Power Inspire Workshop
Location: Trendos Interiors, 27 Main Street South, Georgetown
Create a beautiful inspirational piece while meeting new girls from the community. We will be painting inspirational sayings/words onto decorative wooden boards.
I can Grow A Garden wORKSHOP
Date: April 13th, 1-3 pm
Age: 6 +
Location: Acton Arena (Multi-purpose room)
Nothing says “welcome spring” like hosting a workshop that teaches you how to make the most of a container of soil and a few simple seeds. You can easily grow your own vegetables, herbs, and fruits through simple gardening techniques. It’s always fun to watch your produce grow and enjoy eating it!
We will provide each girl with an opportunity to plant and grow her own herb and tomato plants. Information will be sent home about maintaining a garden and options for growing. An additional craft will be included in this workshop.
M Power Healthy Food Workshop
Date: April 14 2019, 1pm-5pm
Location: Real Canadian Superstore, 171 Guelph Street, Georgetown
Spend time with the M Power girls and a President’s Choice Cooking School Professional learning about how to make some healthy, delicious and simple recipes. The private cooking class will be followed by a 2 hour session discussing current fad diet concerns, learning how to read food labels, distinguishing healthy vs. unhealthy food options, and eating well when you are on the run.
Menu: homemade chili, cinnamon chips and strawberry salsa (all made from scratch!)
Large Martial Arts Self-Defense Workshop
Date: TBD (1.5 hours)
Cost: Charitable donation (to be determined)
Location: Large Martial Arts (located inside Circafit Training Centre) 60 Armstrong Avenue, Georgetown
Join Muay Thai Kickboxing Kru and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt professor Mike Large as he teaching some simple, yet effective, techniques to defend yourself.
Cost: $25.00 (Private sessions available for teams at a group rate)
Location: Circafit Training Centre- 60 Armstrong Avenue, Georgetown
This workshop is geared towards our young female athletes in the community. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of good training practices and injury prevention, while reinforcing lifestyle strategies to keep them healthy.
Topics: Nutrition for performance, female athlete triad, body image and sports, managing stress, injury prevention and athlete mindset.
Ages: 7 +
Cost: $40.00 includes materials, instruction and snacks.
Location: Devereaux House, Georgetown
Join local artist Eva Omes for a drawing workshop. Eva believes in self expression through art and also uses drawing and painting as a form of stress relief. Join Eva as she guides you through the process of creation.
M Power Strength workshop
Location: Circafit Training Centre (60 Armstrong Avenue)
Everyone has something they want to accomplish. Our goals are unique to each of us and how we achieve them is just as individual. This workshop will focus on how to accomplish our goals, both short term and long term. What dreams do we want to fulfill? How exactly can we do that? understanding that each and every one of us has the potential to make their dreams a reality is the first step.
CJ Lusby, an accomplished stunt performer, will be joining M Power in bringing this workshop to our young girls. CJ is one of the strongest (both physically and mentally!) people I know and she is a tremendous advocate for breaking gender stereotypes and making her wishes come true with a little bit of healthy risk taking, tenacity, self-confidence, and hard work.
We will be making custom inspirational paracord bracelets with our girls during this workshop so that they can carry a reminder of their ability to accomplish anything they set their minds to.
Chocolate Art Lab
Date: May 18th, 2019 6-8:30 pm
Location: Halton Hills Cultural Centre (Studio), 9 Church Street Georgetown
If you love both art and chocolate, you won’t want to miss this workshop!! We will be decorating truffle boxes, making truffles, learning how to mould chocolate, making chocolate lollipops and tie dyed marshmallows. We will also we doing a special art project entirely out of chocolate!!!

Parent and Child Art Luncheon Workshop
Date: Saturday March 30th, 2019 11-2 pm
Cost: $45.00 per person ($35.00 for kids under 9)
Location: Glen Williams Town Hall, Glen Williams
Join Evan Omes and M Power for a family fun event including a healthy lunch and an opportunity to explore your creative side. One hour will be spent sharing a meal together, followed by learning art and drawing fundamentals.
You will be encouraged to draw whatever you love including anime, cartoons, realism, animals, nature or anything else that speaks to you!
All family members are welcome!!
kIT’S lITTLE kITCHEN m pOWER wORKSHOP
Date: Sunday June 23rd, 1-3 pm
Cost: $60.00 per person all inclusive. ($10 discount for each sibling)

Join our local chef and pop up market expert in creating some wonderful homemade meals which are perfect for young ladies to make on their own! Healthy, hearty and easy are the key when it comes to these kitchen creations.
Our host will also be telling us all about her balancing her family, business and personal interests. This is one great workshop you will not want to miss.
Orangeville Stress Workshop
Date: June 9th, 1-4 pm
Location: Alder Recreation Centre- TD Canada Trust Room (2nd floor), Orangeville
This workshop is designed to assist girls to figure out what stresses them out, what stress can feel like, and how to cope with stress using healthy strategies. We will try out some meditation and discuss ways to help support each other during times of stress. This workshop is facilitated by Shannon Smith, safeTALK trainer, ASIST trained, and Road to Mental Readiness trainer.
TWeen/TEEN STRESS Busters Workshop
Date: Monday May 13 2019, 4:30-6 pm
