Body Positive- Full day workshop (Grades 6-8)

Dates: January 5th, 9-3pm

Location: Acton Town Hall, 19 Willow Street North

Cost: $40

Ages: Grades 6-8

The Body Positive grades 6-8 curriculum is designed especially for our middle school youth. We teach kids to listen to their bodies and what it needs in terms of nourishment, rest, and movement.

We will learn to love our bodies and honour it through trusting its innate wisdom that we often choose to ignore. Loving our bodies changes our entire mindset and helps us to recognize healthy relationships, routines that are good for the individual (not a product of what society believes is best), and can help us make wise choices.

Each evening we will be focusing on a different essential aspect of our health: Nourishment, movement, and rest.

Listening to our body and what it needs is a challenge given all the messages society sends us about what it determines to be best for us. The reality is that we should be the experts of our own bodies. We will explore these messages and learn how to trust our bodies again.
